 After 40 years, Senator Jennifer Shilling announced the Hmong veteran bill for the Hmong soldiers who fought in the secret war. This bill gave Hmong veterans the same benefits as an American veteran, because of this bill, it will change the definition of an American veteran.​​​​​​​
